This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!

do you ever make it out here. have you ever been to myspace i have a profile on there too not so much art its like a personnels my username is the same as my deviant one. im still trying to figure out how to do a friends list on here have any idea by the way i love the brain babies in color its sick
my advice is to just buy the equipment and practice you can try an apprenticeship at a local shop sometimes they will teach you and sometimes they wont but it doesnt hurt to ask. if you cant get an apprenticeship at a shop huck spailding offers books on some technique but they really dont teach you but they can teach you how to stay steril and how to tune your guns and the basics. if you have any questions feel free to ask im always willing to help people out. oh yeah if you start tattooing its better to learn with custom art and not flash.
Is that what you did? Opinion seems to be divided on whether that's an "okay" way to do it. Idea being that without an apprenticeship, you aren't going to know how to good, safe tattoos. I've heard that a lot of good artists would throw a prospective apprentice out on his or her ear if they knew the person had been "practicing on his (or her) own." Which, frankly, makes sense to me. But as soon as I took that for a widely accepted stance, it seemed like everyone I discussed it with was just saying to get my own rig and go for it. Feel a bit torn, really!
i started out at a shop but i was never tought any technique they just tought me how to scrub up for them and make needles for them and sterilize the equipment for them and how to be their bitch. when it came down to my first skin piece they left me hanging they told me its the best way to learn. they didnt even teach me anything. the best way i found to learn depth was tattooing a grapefruit. if you go too deep you will split it right open if you dont go deep enough the ink wont even stay. im not saying its just like skin but it teaches you just how deep to go without fucking up. after you figure out the depth give yourself the first skin piece becouse you can always go back and fix it later. as for the shop thing they actually have books on sterile enviroments and your autoclave and ultrasonic cleaner come with basic instructions how do you think they learned how. you can always find books with huck spailding and you can always go to a tattoo forum there will be plenty of friendly artist who are willing to give you advice there are some that are assholes and will talk shit. all of my technique is self tought and other artist have told me that ive got some amazing work for a not so common technique. every artist has is own style if it was all the same then we really wouldnt be artists. it would all be the same thing just like going to work a learned trait.
